My son is still very young and I have a while before I need to consider his adult needs. But it is certainly eye-opening, both on a personal level but also on a societal level, to think about the needs of each of these adults with autism and the prospect for the future - i.e. what will happen to these large numbers of children when they become adults - remember we’re talking about 1 in 150 - or in Washington State 2,000 adults and about 10,000 children with autism now.
